Class Chat/Study Group through DISCORD

Each student enrolled in this course is REQUIRED to set up access to our DISCORD server and private class chatroom and study group. We also post Student Annoucements and other helpful items in our DISCORD server. As this is where all Announcements and other important information will be posted, it is MANDATORY that you set up and utilize this feature and check it at least weekly, if not more frequently.

IMPORTANT! Our Discord server link (below the following 2 paragraphs) is not an auto-account-creating, auto-login kind of link!

TO JOIN: FIRST, login to your Discord account, or create your account if you do not have one here – https://discord.com/register. If you are using a mobile device, you may consider installing the Discord App and logging into your account there prior to attempting to join our server. Discord also has an app for desktop devices. If you are not logged into your Discord account via the browser or the app prior to clicking the link, the link will not work! LAST, when logged in, use the link below to join the server.

BE SURE to follow the instructions on the General Chat channel when first joining and properly introduce yourself! If you do not follow these instructions, your account will be kicked back to a public account and will loose access to the protected channels until you follow the introduction instructions. Also, you must PROVE you have set up your Discord PERCOM account and have read the student-announcements channel. You must verify to your instructor that you have correctly joined the PERCOM Discord server by sending a document to that instructor with a screenshot or screen clip through the Homework Upload feature. It must show the “Discord Joining Proof Phrase” from the student-announcements channel in Discord. This is IMPERATIVE that you do this so we know you have joined Discord and you MUST check it frequently and use it for an interaction point with your instructor. We also post scenarios to promote learning and interaction in your class channels so please participate.
